Printed using UV inks, it won’t fade in sunlight and is also robust enough to stand up to even the harshest of British weather, including strong winds. Whether used on fences, trees or perhaps even on a wall, these attention-drawing and high-quality banners will get your message across, giving your customers more information about who you are and what you do. They are ideal for advertising upcoming events, promotions and discounts. They can be used alongside your other forms of marketing and can even be used to promote your social media accounts. Here are our Top Ten Tips for Designing an Effective Banner because time spent on this stage will really help with the success of your banner:

  1. Make sure it is visible to passers by and that the main points are easy to see. Do not crowd it too much.
  2. Ensure any images you use are relevant to what you are trying to promote. Imagine you are passing your banner in a car – try to make images appealing so that someone will take a second look next time they are passing.
  3. Think carefully about where you are going to place it. Is is going to be seen mainly by people passing on a road or by pedestrians. If people will only have a brief time to check it out just include the main points.
  4. Make sure that all the text is clear and legible – use a simple, readable font. Colour is also important – contrast text and background colours to make is as easy to read as possible.
  5. Do not be afraid of ‘white space’ it is true that in most cases – less is more and will make your banner stand out.
  6. Make sure that you leave enough ‘clear space’ around the edge for the hems and eyelets. We would recommend at least 75mm. You do not want a hole punching through a vital piece of information.
  7. If you are using images – make sure they are high res or vectored images. Low res images or images taken off your computer may become blurry and distorted once blown up for the banner.
  8. Make sure you get someone else to proof read your banner to check for spellings, typos etc. A fresh pair of eyes can spot something you haven’t.
  9. Think about how long you want the banner to last – they are printed on durable vinyl, but won’t last forever. A scruffy banner can have a detrimental impact on your business.
  10. If you are unsure about what you need – don’t worry – help is at hand. Please just get in touch if you want any help or advice.
