Tips For Designing The Perfect Leaflet

Leaflet Design

Most businesses fail to attract people because they may be using the wrong marketing strategies. Even when they do, they are not so sure how to use these strategies to attract prospective clients’ attention. Leaflets are a cheap and easy way to spread the word about your business. Countless ideas for leaflet design exist.

Leaflets tell target customers what products or services you offer and go on to divulge more important information. While it is important to include all the necessary information on your leaflet, it is even more important to make sure it is designed well enough to show your good side and to grab attention.

So to point you in the right direction, here are a few tips to help you design the perfect leaflet.

  • Have a Rough Idea of What you Want

What size, shape, colour and content do you want on the leaflet? How many leaflets do you want to be printed? What do you want the reader to know once they get a hold of your leaflet? Also, have a set budget showing how much you want to spend printing the leaflets.

When you have the answer to all these questions, you will have a solid starting point. From here on out it’s going to be almost smooth sailing as all that will be left is simply you trying to execute the plan while making a few changes for the best results.

  • Use the Right Keywords

Keywords and phrases used on the content in your brochure work as a trigger to get the reader to pay more attention. Choice words like free, new, easy, limited, guaranteed, save, new and now are great at keeping the reader interested.

Be sure to make these keywords and phrases stand out by either using a different font, size, or colour.

  • Add Contrast

Here, the contrast has everything to do with the visuals. It’s all about the colours you use, the pictures, patterns, fonts and so on. Don’t be too plain, don’t stick to one colour, feel free to play around with different depths in order to bring out the best results.

When your leaflet has such good contrast, it won’t be too hard to grab attention because people will easily gravitate to it. Even from a distance, a prospective customer can see the leaflet and want to see what’s written on there.

  • Have a Call to Action

The whole point of designing a leaflet is to get people to know about something and go on to either buy or request for the services you are offering. Unlike on a website where the target customer can click on a link to gain access to your contacts, here, they would have to pick up the phone to call you or go online and type in your site’s address. But there’s a catch, they are unlikely to do so if you do not remind them to.

This explains why it is always advisable for your leaflet to end with a call to action asking readers to either call you or visit your site/social media page.

No doubt, a well-designed leaflet is sure to get you the attention you are looking for. You don’t want to have such well-written content that you forget all about designing something that’s nice to look at. Above are tips to help you design the most attractive leaflets to get your business sales soaring high up to unimaginable heights. Need help with designing your marketing materials like leaflets?
